We visited Kalapawai, and let me just say the crab dip was bomb! Creamy, flavorful, and absolutely addictive. The fish and chips were perfectly crispy, though I found them a little oilier than I'd prefer. Still, super tasty! As for the pita and hummus? Soooo ono. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of our dishes was missing and took a while to arrive, which was a bit of a bummer. Overall the food was incredible, and I'd definitely come back for those apps alone! Mahalo, Kalapawai!

For lunch they serve a variety of sandwiches; their dinner period provides a full menu. There is seating outside, inside, and seating around the bar mostly inside and some interesting seating peeking into the inside from outside. Visitors to the islands seem to like sitting outside in our warm climate but I know better and always sit inside haha! The food here is delicious. Whether it's the sandwiches, the dinner appetizers, the non-alcoholic drinks, or the dinner dishes, they pay particular care to every detail. Generally, the food portions are good so that I can take home the rest and enjoy it again later. The mac and cheese that you can opt to accompany your sandwich is yummy and even comes in larger size however the price is $3 or $8 for the larger size which I wish would be larger for the price. The salmon is farm-raised not wild caught so I don't order it. The non-alcoholic drinks are pricey for the size but do taste good. The atmosphere is calm and laid back country here. The restaurant main dining area is narrow yet open and airy. The air conditioning is really so comfortable. I like eating here because of the calm atmosphere and the dining area is clean. If you aim to eat, the staff do not intrude but will check on you from time to time. Sometimes you may need to flag them down. The restroom is beyond the door left of the kitchen. There's a parking lot outside with free parking. They can get full quickly but seems that there's always at least a stall or two open.

Came for takeout- hot Reuben sandwich. Somehow it has gotten smaller with less meat. Still a good sandwich.

Big place with a retail section around the cashier and a bar on the side. We ordered in the front and took a number to our seats. They brought the food out to us. I ordered the Fried Egg Sandwich and Avocado Toast to share. There was a bug in my salad, but they were kind enough to replace it with a full-size salad; sadly, I couldn't finish it. Flies kept coming in the door to the patio since people were in and out of there so much. The sandwich, I could've made at home. The avocado toast was a little disappointing. The bread was tough in places and I had to scrape off the tomatoes. I only know one other place that puts tomatoes on avocado toast and I don't order theirs. I liked that their lilikoi and guava juices had the actual fruit in them.

I've been to this Kalapawai Cafe & Deli location about four different times over the past few years. Most times I got a sandwich but I decided to switch it up by ordering their Margherita Pizza ($14) during my most recent visit. First off, their sandwiches have always been one of the most well-made sandwiches I've had on island. Their ingredients always taste fresh and the bread they use has a nice crunch-to-soft ratio. But that pizza? That was something else. It's not exactly your typical pizza, but it's the perfect thing for someone who craves the taste of pizza but wants something light. The base of the pizza was like a giant cracker. There was just enough sauce and bits of cheese on top. There were also mixed greens on top of the pizza that had this savory yet not overpowering flavor to it that complemented the rest of the pizza. If you want to dine in, it has been easy to find a table during lunch (even when there is a long line during the lunch rush!). I've never been here during dinner so I can't say anything about that. You have the option to sit inside or outside. I'd say this is a good spot to eat lunch with a small group of friends/family.

Well I am updating my review to 4 stars from 2 stars. My experience today was much better than in the past. After hiking The Pink Pillbox with 3 friends we decided to go to lunch, talk more story. We sat outside and ordered. I ordered the Hummus Plate, friends ordered sandwiches and a pork dish. Everyone was very happy with their food and the outdoor dining area. I was pleasantly surprised with the Humus plate, variety of items, all very fresh. Everyone had enough to take home leftovers. Happy with the service, attentive. Glad I gave the place a second chance.

This local Deli and market always hits the spot. We first found this place two years ago and the food is still great. Grabbed three Westside burgers the first night we got in. Hubby had a gf bun and son had everything on the side- they got everything right and the hamburgers were delicious!! We came three nights later and ate there- cute decor and great patio. Both boys got burgers again ( told you they were good) and I got the chicken piccata Milanese. Again, everything was delish and so reasonably priced. Will come every time we are in Ko Olina as long as they are here :)
